The Investment Adviser’s team comprises a team of professionals with extensive experience in real estate investment across the UK and continental Europe. The team has knowledge of the continental European property market and expertise in sourcing, managing and realising property assets.

The Investment Adviser’s team is headed by Robert Randall and Ian Blake.

The key individuals in the management team are:

Robert Randall

Mr Randall is a director of Matrix Group Limited and is a managing member of the Investment Adviser. Mr Randall joined Matrix Group Limited in 1996 and has been responsible for developing the business in structuring, syndicating and managing commercial property investments.

Ian Blake

Mr Blake joined Matrix as Property Director in July 2001 where he has assumed responsibility for the acquisition of property investments. In the early 2000’s Mr Blake expanded UK assets under management from £1 billion to £2.25 billion. In recent years he has expanded assets under management in Europe to €750 million and divested over £1 billion of UK property assets delivering significant profits.

Mr Blake was previously at Drivers Jonas where he was an investment partner and a director of its financial services company. He left after 9 years at Drivers Jonas and has in total over 22 years’ experience in private practice as an investment surveyor.

Michael Perkins

Mr Perkins has 25 years of property experience, including approximately five years in investments and asset management with a subsidiary of Pension Fund PGGM, and more than five years with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, mainly as Chief Financial Officer of its US$2 billion closed-end Global Properties SICAF. Mr Perkins also consulted for UBS in its launch of the UBS (Lux) and UBS (Jersey) Real Estate open-ended Euro Core Funds. Previously Mr Perkins had been in public accountancy (1982-1993) and served as a partner with BDO Seidman and with Jones & Kolb.

Paul Nicholls

Mr Nicholls heads the asset management team and is responsible for operations in both the UK and Europe. Mr Nicholls is a chartered surveyor with over 11 years post qualification experience in private practice.

Previously, Mr Nicholls worked at Conrad Ritblat and Johnson Fry. He has played a central role in the development of relationships with the European property managers and formalising asset management strategy across Europe.

Scott Fawcett

Mr Fawcett moved to MPFM in 2007 to act as Fund Manager for MEREIT. He joined after working for 14 years within the investment team at Drivers Jonas where he was the Partner in charge of in-house fund management. His role encompassed advising on investment strategy, development funding, acquisitions, disposals and asset management initiatives for a variety of clients including Christ’s Hospital, British Land, Morgan Stanley and the Property Income Trust for Charities. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor.

Ellison Riddle

Mr Riddle is part of the capital transactions team and has been involved with European commercial property for approximately five years. Mr Riddle joined from DTZ where he was involved in trading based valuations, strategic appraisals and corporate Property Portfolio valuations. Mr Riddle is a chartered accountant. Prior to joining DTZ, Mr Riddle trained for three and a half years within the Audit and Business Assurance Services division in PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mischa Davis

Mr Davis joined Matrix in July 2001. He is a Chartered Surveyor. He currently works as a Fund Manager where he is responsible for acquisitions, disposals and asset management transactions across the portfolio.

In particular, Mr Davis was integral to the creation of the Matrix No.1 Unit Trust and now has specific responsibility for the fund management of the same. Mr Davis has nine years’ real estate experience and prior to joining Matrix he worked for three years at Lambert Smith Hampton where clients included Haslemere Estates, Scottish Widows and Norwich Union.
